What is Song and Scroll?
Song and Scroll Ministries exists to help churches promote musical excellence within a sound biblical framework. It is our desire to use music strategically and wisely in order to further the ministry of God's church in the world. We provide resources, consultation, and musical presentations that demonstrate a commitment to sound biblical and theological training. We seek opportunities for others who show a commitment to both theological and music excellence to continue their education, career, or projects. Because the Church is God's instrument for His work on earth, we want to assist local churches in their ministry endeavors by critically examining current practices and offering direction for local church ministry.

Infrastructure
Song and Scroll has 501(c)3 status. We are incorporated as a nonprofit organization in the state of South Carolina, and we have registered with the appropriate government agencies. We are committed to abide by the law to the fullest extent.

The director is largely responsible for developing the ministry's vision, the content of resources produced, raising funds, and overseeing the operations of this ministry. The advisors serve to provide advice with respect to legal matters, communications, theology, and finances, in addition to assisting the director accomplish the ministry's vision. Any major changes to the structure follow consultation with the advisors, who are appointed or recommended to serve in this capacity.

Doctrinal Affirmations
Song and Scroll Ministries is an evangelical parachurch ministry providing leadership in the area of musical and theological integrity for the Church. The doctrinal statement is meant to reflect our commitment to the core values of the faith without compromising our desire to minister to churches belonging to different denominations. (Modifications and/or additions may be made at the discretion of our director and advisors.)

Authority
We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word. It is the believer's source of authority for doctrine, behavior, and thought.

The Triune God
We believe that God exists eternally in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, having an identical nature, essence, and are each worthy of praise. We recognize that each member of the Trinity functions differently with respect to salvation and they must not be confused with regards to their functions.

The Lostness of the Human Race
God created man in his image, and he has appointed man as his representative over the earth. We believe in the depravity of the human race, that after the Fall of man (Gen 3), man was born into a state of separation from God. The imago dei was not lost, but it is marred until we are glorified, at which time it will be restored.

Salvation
Salvation is a gift of God obtained by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, died on the cross as the propitiation for our sins. None may enter heaven or inherit eternal life without being born of the Holy Spirit. There is no other means of salvation apart from this.

The Church
The Church is God's chosen instrument for accomplishing his purposes on earth during this present age.

The Second Coming
We expectantly wait for the return of Jesus Christ to return to earth and to take those home whom he has called to salvation.
